SONGFEST Festival - Year of the Chinese Dragon 2012  

Please accept our invitation for SONGFEST, a 5th annual celebration of New Year's arrival according to the Lunar Calendar taking place on Saturday 21 January in the Municipal Theatre premises in Český Krumlov. You can look forward to Chinese signer Feng-yün Song, actor and moderator Jaroslav Dušek and a number of other musicians and artists.

Feng-yün Song, Trio PUO Songfest will feature not only musical performances but also a colourful fair, tea tasting, martial arts and Oriental dances demonstrations, a creative workshop for children, a dragon raffle, dragon tea party and other Oriental experiences.

The associated program will kick off at 4 pm with the colorful fair and finish at 11 pm with dragon tea party. Musical performances not to be missed include: singer Feng-yün Song and her band Trio PUO, songs about spiritual journeys in the Far East performed by Ester Kočičková and pianist Lubomír Nohavica or a duo mado of Japanese piano player Kayoko Zemanová and traditional shamizen player Kenyo Sato. A Chinese classical lute played by Gao Yingying, a young musician and winner of a number of prestigious musical award in China, will surely please all music lovers. Guests will include for example Miloš Vacík and his Tam Tam Batucada.

Songest 2012 will belong not only to music, but also to crafts and entertainment. Families with children can participate in the associated program of music, dancing, crafts, painting, theatre and other activities.
