It was sad to hear about the terrible floods in the Czech Republic and the damage to the many beautiful & historic areas. I was on a tour there in 1989 and while I only spent a short time visiting the castle and the town I thought it was an amazing place with so much history and beauty. Wishing you all the best for the speedy restoration of the town and the comfort of its citizens.

It is really worth seeing. I think you should come back and spend more time admiring its beauty. You might as well travel with some friends of yours. Please, stay in interest.

I was there this past June with my friend, Ray von Rosenberg. He is a direct descendant of the von Rosenbergs who built the castle. We traveled on down to the village of Rozenburk where there is another family castle. Are there reports of damage there?
How sad for everyone.

My sympathies to everyone in Cesky Krumlov. A beautiful town that I hope is not too badly damaged. I have many great memories of the time I spent there, not least of which was rafting down a much more sedate Vltava.

I have only been to Ceske Krumlov once, on Easter Sunday 1999, and my boyfried and I thought it one of the most beautiful towns in the Czech Republic.
I am saddened by the flooding of most of Central Europe and wish everyone in Ceske Krumlov to be safe and well and that the town survives this traumatic time.
Answer:
Thank you for your email. The situation is getting better but there is lots
of mud in streets. The Vltava river receded and everyone is hepling to each
other.

Thank you very much for your support

Hope to see you soon in sunny Krumlov.

Just wanted to tell you that the town Cesky Krumlov is the most beautyful town on earth. We lived at Pension Kristinka, near by the river edge, for two weeks this july. Those people at Kristinka was just rearkable! And the town, the people, the beer, the food... we just loved it - and we promise to be back!!
We are very conserned about the rising of the river. How is it? Please tell us.
And just one more thing - me myself is an Art Director in a Norwegian Advertising Agensy - your site is GREAT!!
Best wishes to you all (the best place in town is the Katakombs at Hotel The Old Inn!!)

From Norway with love.
