The Guitar Soul

Guitarist and composer Lukáš Sommer in the Masquerade Hall

Guitarist and composer Lukáš Sommer is one of the leading personalities of the current generation of young South Bohemian artists. In 2012, his flute concert “A Letter to My Father” was performed at the Prague Spring Festival, and Sommer thus became the youngest approached author in the history of the festival. During the evening, the audience will primarily listen to author’s own works. For example, visitors can look forward to the song Hommage à Jan Kaplický. Sommer composed this after his visit to the Ferrari Museum in Modena, Italy, which is the last work of the world-famous Czech architect. Sommer will perform at the Masquerade Hall of the Český Krumlov Castle together with the M. Nostitz Quartet consisting of violinists Petr Bernášek and Václav Vacek, viola player Pavel Hořejší and cellist Petr Šporcl.
