On Saturday, May 23rd, the third edition of COOP RUN will take place – a sporting event that combines running, fun, and a good cause.
Runners can look forward to races of 5 and 10 kilometres with a scenic route around Český Krumlov, offering beautiful views of the historic city centre. The proceeds will go to support the non-profit organisation ICOS Český Krumlov, which helps senior citizens, people with disabilities, and families in difficult situations.
Route: Plešivec (start/finish) – Linecká – Rybářská – Jelení zahrada – Railway Station – Mír – Trojice – Objížďková – Vltava Cycle Path – City Park
Last year's edition (2025) attracted nearly 200 competitors from all age categories. The accompanying programme included sports attractions for children from the local Community Centre for Children and Youth (DDM), the Czech Red Cross, the Champions Camp, as well as the Kubík Trail, a demonstration by SK Karate Český Krumlov, and much more. "Together with the HLAS SRDCE Foundation, the event's partners, and the proceeds from entry fees, a cheque for 60,000 CZK was presented to ICOS, which has been helping children with disabilities and senior citizens in the region since 2008," said Jan Hoffmann from Jednota Kaplice.
