Jan Čmejla – Young Virtuoso

Piano recital, International Music Festival

One of the objectives of this year’s festival is a greater number of concerts which give the opportunity to exceptional young talents. One of them is Jan Čmejla – a participant of the prestigious Allianz Junior Music Camp 2015, which is every year intended for only ten selected talents from around the world. Jan Čmejla is a holder of the prestigious Golden Nut (Zlatý oříšek) 2013 prize and of the Kern Foundation Prize of outstanding Russian pianist Olga Kern. In 2019 this young pianist performed a solo recital at the National Bohemian Hall in New York and the Kennedy Center in Washington as part of the prestigious concert cycle Millennium Stage. Jan Čmejla will play works by great composers such as Polish virtuoso Fryderyk Chopin and German composer Ludwig van Beethoven.
