Tribute to the Czech Woman Composers | Festival Krumlov

Elizabeth Jiříčková and Barbora Brabcová

The Year of Czech Music will not belong only to Smetana, Dvořák or Janáček. This concert has a clear goal: to prove to the audience that women in Czech music were not just muses, mere inspirations against the background of famous works. They were also sought-after virtuosos, renowned conductors, and original composers. Thanks to two young Czech musicians, Elizabeth Jiřičková and Barbora Brabcová, the compositions by Vítězslava Kaprálová, Jana Obrovská, Anna Kozánková, Matylda Chrudimská, Zdenka Kendíková, Geraldine Mucha and Sláva Vorlová will be performed.
