Drummer Antonín Procházka will guide you through the fascinating world of “talking drums,” which he studied during his doctoral research at the University of Ghana. Discover their role in poetry, music, and everyday life in West Africa. You'll get to know traditional dances from different regions of Ghana, such as the Dagaare Bewaa, the funeral dance Agbadza from the Volta region, or the joyful Kpanlogo of the Ga people. Come not only to listen – but also to play, sing, and dance to the rhythms of West African drums.
Free entry.
The interactive lecture will take place as part of the accompanying programme of the 34th edition of Krumlov Festival in the Festival zone in the Monastery garden.
