As a singer-songwriter, Dalibor Janda ranks among the most inventive melodicists in Czech mainstream pop scene. He’s recorded over 150 songs, almost exclusively his own compositions with only a few exceptions. To date, he’s released twenty-three albums (including compilations), earned nine Gold and two Platinum records, and even achieved a Multiplatinum award last year during his “70th anniversary” tour at Prague’s Lucerna! From a historical perspective, Dalibor Janda is one of the most commercially successful Czech pop acts, with over two million record buyers.
