Bran – Music from Brittany | concert

Music inspired by old Breton folk motifs, ancient dances and songs of the sea

The band Bran arrives with their latest album "Galette complète". The title refers to a popular Breton delicacy – a buckwheat pancake with ham and egg. "The yolk is, for us, an image of the life-giving sun, and the folds along the edges of the pancake can be seen as ocean waves or sand dunes. In this way, a whole world opens up to us,” the band says with a touch of humor.

The band was founded in 1999 in Prague by Dewi Pajot, a native of Lorient in Brittany. The group's name means "raven" in Breton – a bird known in Celtic legends as a messenger and bearer of news.

Robert Fischmann – vocals, flute, whistle, keyboards
Vojtěch Jindra – acoustic guitar
Tomáš Görtler – accordion, vocals
Petr Mikeš – bass guitar
Vítězslav Patočka – drums
