A round trip with the kids
A short cycle trip suitable for kids and those less fit.
Český Krumlov
From Český Krumlov you will take the cycle path No. 1047 along the Polečnice river. Before leaving the town, you will pass the Graphite Mine on your right, which is open to the public from May to September. During the tour you can experience the conditions in which the miners worked during the graphite mining (it was stopped in 2003).
Staré Dobrkovice
In the first section of the cycle path, under a perpendicular rock wall with an overhang, there is the karst Dobrkovice Cave. Next, you will pass by the Dobrkovice (Hamerský) mill on the Polečnica river. This Gothic-Renaissance-Baroque complex of buildings is a protected architectural monument.
Petráškův dvůr
Lazec
In the small village of Lazec you will find another reminder of graphite mining in the Český Krumlov region. An abandoned hard rock mine (mining ceased in the 1990s) on the hillside of Lazec hill is connected underground with the mine in Český Krumlov. In Lazec you leave the marked cycle path and turn right again.
Vyšný
The "old" Krumlov road will lead you from Lazec to Vyšný, where your children can play on the playground. Your trip here can be extended by the Vyšenská Hills hiking trail with 15 stops.

Cycle path - serpentine
From Vyšný, you will have only a pleasant ride down the new serpentines of the Krumlov cycle path to the sports complex and back to the centre of Krumlov via the Jelenka car park.
