Lubomír Brabec is a legend in concert guitar artistry and is regarded by critics as one of the top Czech interpreters. His playing has influenced musicians from various fields.
For the festival audience in Český Krumlov, he has prepared a concert titled "Concert with Karolína". He has invited the young soprano Karolína Cingrošová Žmolíková, who is one of our greatest vocal hopes, as a guest for his guitar recital. In addition to famous virtuoso guitar pieces by the romantic Fernando Sor, the Brazilian Heitor Villa-Lobos, and the Spanish impressionist Joaquín Turina, the concert will feature songs and arias for soprano and guitar by G.F. Handel and Enrique Granados. Dvořák's Humoresque and a song from the Gypsy Melodies will also be performed, as well as the aria "Song to the Moon" in an arrangement for soprano and guitar, and of course the famous Spanish piece Granada.
