Slavic Trio: (de)breathing afternoon | Festival zone

The wind trio of young musicians will bring the rhythmic Martinů and the melodic Tomasi to the Monastery Garden

The chamber ensemble Slavic Trio was founded in 2018 by three successful young Czech musicians. Barbora Trnčíková, an oboist and member of the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, is a sought-after orchestral and chamber musician. The clarinettist Anna Sysová is a woman of many professions, but her first priority remains music. This is also proven by the fact that she was a winner of the 2022 Prague Spring International Music Competition. Petr Sedlák is one of the most outstanding bassoon talents of his generation. He is a member of two leading Czech orchestras – the Prague Philharmonia and the Prague Symphony Orchestra. In 2018, the trio was awarded first prize at the International Chamber Ensemble Competition in Chieri, Italy. On a Sunday afternoon in the gardens of Český Krumlov, they will play pieces for listening. The programme includes the rhythmic Martinů and the melodic Tomasi.
