Central European Rally

For the first time in Český Krumlov

More compact than in previous years, with no long transfers and immediately offering two days in the Czech Republic. That will be the third edition of the Central European Rally, taking place from 16 to 19 October across three countries – the Czech Republic, Germany, and Austria. The total length of the rally is approximately 1,100 km, with 312 km of special stages.

On Czech territory, the rally will visit, among other locations, the historic center of Český Krumlov on 17 October, near which one of the special stages will also take place.

“The opinions of the drivers and their teams are very important to us. That’s why we responded to their request for a more compact rally. This time, we are foregoing the more distant Prague, which in the last two editions drew thousands of spectators to the Castle or the Velká Chuchle race track, and are staying in South Bohemia and the Šumava region. We believe that the center of Český Krumlov is more than a suitable alternative,” said Tomáš Kunc, Managing Director of the Central European Rally. “WRC cars will not be missing in Prague, as we are preparing a non-competitive exhibition and a drive through the city center on Sunday, 12 October. The format and details of the event are still being finalized, as well as the individual stages,” Kunc added.

The Central European Rally will feature eighteen special stages over four days. In the Czech Republic, there will be two runs of the Svatý Ján stage on Friday and two runs each of the Klatovy and Keply stages on Saturday. The rally will start on Thursday, 16 October, in Bad Griesbach, with the ceremonial finish on Sunday, 19 October, in Passau, where the central service park will also be located at the Kohlbruck exhibition grounds.
