Would you like to take home your own handmade card, postcard, or picture from the graphic workshop? Take advantage of the Thursday offer of an open studio with an instructor in Port 1560, held in the amazing spaces of the Renaissance palace of Anna of Rogendorf.
Come try out various printmaking techniques and create your own works of art! Who is this afternoon for? For everyone – children and adults, beginners and advanced alike. Come get creative with the instructors, who will guide you through all the necessary printmaking techniques.
• Relief printing matrix creation: Discover the magic of linocut, where you’ll create your own printing block and use it to make graphic prints.
• Intaglio printing matrix creation: Get introduced to drypoint etching, a technique that allows you to create detailed and delicate prints.
• Creating and printing with natural materials: Try the technique of frottage, which uses natural materials to create unique graphic prints.
• Gelli printing: Gelli printing (or printing on a gel plate) is an art method using a special soft gel plate to create original prints. It’s a fun and experimental technique that even beginners can handle – perfect for creating at home, in school, or during workshops.
