New Circus
New circus is gaining increasing popularity with audiences of all ages. This contemporary form of theatre combines acrobatics, dance, physical theatre, live music and visual arts. Performances are often wordless, yet they can tell powerful stories, explore emotions and humour, and offer not only suspense and impressive physical performances, but also food for thought.
Circus Meanders
The Cirkusové meandry Festival brings new circus to Český Krumlov, showcasing Czech and international ensembles and artists. The festival offers more than performances alone – it creates a space for encounters, discovery and inspiration.
The festival was founded by the town of Český Krumlov in cooperation with the team behind the renowned Letní Letná festival, which has been dedicated to new circus for more than two decades.
The programme for the 3rd edition is currently in preparation. Look forward to another exciting encounter with the world of new circus in Český Krumlov.
