Festival of Contemporary Circus and Theatre
The Cirkusové Meandry Festival brings the best of Czech new circus, theatre, and accompanying activities to the picturesque setting of Český Krumlov over the course of several days, offering a unique new circus showcase in the South Bohemian region.
Visitors can look forward not only to evening performances by top Czech companies but also to afternoon shows for children and families, as well as visual arts and circus workshops, a carousel, and wooden interactive toys. A large part of this accompanying program is free of charge. The festival's "circus village" will offer space for relaxation, refreshments, and the chance to meet with artists and new circus enthusiasts.
The creation of the Cirkusové Meandry Festival is based on the solid foundation and experience of the organizers of the Letní Letná festival, aiming to establish a tradition for a festival that both audiences and artists will eagerly return to each year. It is a joint project of the International Festival of New Circus and Theatre Letní Letná, the city of Český Krumlov, and the Český Krumlov City Theatre, held under the auspices of the First Deputy Mayor of Český Krumlov, Dalibor Uhlíř, MBA, and the Governor of the South Bohemian Region, MUDr. Martin Kuba.
