You can savor the unique magic of Advent in Český Krumlov during walks lined with thousands of lights. Not only does the street lighting decoration impress, but several 3D light installations in the historic center and a light park in the brewery grounds offer an extraordinary experience. In the Monastery Courtyard, you'll encounter a two-meter-tall illuminated horse, in the Seminary Garden, you'll find a bear with her cub, and you can capture the moment in a light photo frame with the illuminated castle in the background. At the Port 1560 area, a large light park awaits your visit.

Enjoy advent activities

The Advent program kicks off with the festive lighting of the Christmas tree on Sunday, December 1st. The Christmas market in Svornosti Square will be open daily from Friday, November 29th, until January 6th. Every Friday and Saturday, the market will feature concerts by local and visiting bands, while Sundays are dedicated primarily to families with children. Advent and Christmas events including concerts, workshops, tours, and activities for kids will also take place at various other locations throughout the town.

Adventures (not just) for children

The Advent program certainly includes activities for children – from St. Nicholas gifts to an angelic procession through the town, and Saturday programs at the Monasteries and Port 1560. In addition to these, you’ll find permanent exhibitions and attractions that entertain both children and adults alike.
