240 Years of the Český Krumlov's Elementary Art School (ZUŠ)

240 Years of Český Krumlov's ZUŠ Anniversary Documentary Exhibition

Take a walk through the history of one of the oldest elementary art schools in the country, which was founded as a municipal music school in 1780. Over the past century it has developed into an elementary art school with a wide range of subjects from music to art, literature and drama to dance. Thanks to its creative atmosphere, it has left a lasting mark on the lives of its graduates, their loved ones and the history of the city, and today provides the foundations of arts education to 910 children, young people and adults under the expert guidance of 47 teachers.

The exposition in the Český Krumlov Regional Museum is supplemented by a large number of period photographs, not only of former and current pupils and teachers, but also pictures from trips around the Czech Republic and abroad. An accompanying music and lecture programme is also planned for the wide public as part of the exhibition.
