The „Wind orchestra“ of the music school at Deutsch-Wagram, based on the school-orchestra, was founded in 1983 as a „music society“. With it the pupils and absolvents of the music school and also other music-thrilled citizens of Deutsch-Wagram got a chance to find an option for playing wind music under professional leadership. Additional to lots of local appearances there were several international invitations to wind-music events, for example at Gbely (SK), Terezín (CZ), Markkleeberg near Leipzig (GER) and Jönköping (SWE).
The Wind orchestra of the music school Deutsch-Wagram consists of 53 members. The youngest member counts only 11 years and the always active honour-chairman is the eldest musician with 82 years.
