Prague Brass Quintet | Festival Krumlov

A thrilling performance of young Czech brass players with the world premiere of a composition by Jiří Trtík

The PBtet (Prague Brass Quintet) is a new generation of Czech brass players. They are composed of Walter Hofbauer and Karel Hons - trumpets, Daniela Roubíčková - horn, Barbora Kolafová - trombone and Jakub Chmelař - tuba. Among the quintet's greatest achievements is winning the 2019 Jeju International Brass & Percussion Competition. The quintet's repertoire is typically diverse, ranging from many musical periods to the works of contemporary foreign and Czech composers such as Jan Kučera. There will also be a world premiere. PBtet will present a new composition by Jiří Trtík, which was specially commissioned for the festival.
