Disc golf is a fun activity for everyone, and can be enjoyed by families with children and groups of seniors alike. The objective of the game is, just like in golf, to reach the target (basket) with as few throws as possible. The winner is the one who completes the entire course with the least number of throws.
The new nine-hole disc golf course in Český Krumlov is located in the quiet surroundings of the Deer Garden (Jelení zahrada), a few minutes from the town centre, next to the car park P1 - Deer Garden (Jelení zahrada).
The course offers beautiful scenery and, above all, first-class service. In the adjacent DEPO restaurant, players can rent disc golf equipment - a disc, a scorecard with instructions and a pencil for recording scores. Players can also use the refreshments and toilets.
The course for beginners and intermediate players, is designed with careful consideration for other activities in the area, both in terms of walking routes and the adjacent cycle path. An unusual and rather amusing conundrum awaits players between the 8th and 9th holes, which are connected by a newly landscaped stone ford over the Polečnice River. However, the current state of the river does not allow crossing the stones, there is still a lot of water flowing over them. In the future, therefore, the alternative of building a bridge that will not disturb the scenery is also under consideration.
The new attraction is open to the general public and admission is free.
