Programme

The theatrical genres on the theatre's programme are mainly drama, puppet theatre for children and adults and, to a lesser extent, contemporary dance, musicals, operettas and more. In musical dramaturgy you will find concerts of various musical genres, but mostly jazz, folk and classical music, which take place in the theatre hall, but also in the theatre club as club concerts.

Premises

In terms of architecture and technology, the theatre is a modern cultural hub with a 280-seat capacity hall. All public areas are barrier-free. It includes a theatre club and a café with a terrace with beautiful views of the historic city centre and castle.

Photographic exhibitions are organised in the foyer of the theatre in cooperation with the Český Krumlov Photo Club. The premises, technical equipment and facilities of the theatre are also suitable for use for the needs of conferences and cultural and social activities.

The premises of the theatre are used by amateur ensembles and associations from Český Krumlov. The theatre ensembles comprise the Český Krumlov Stage Theatre Club and DěS – a children's studio.

Co-organiser of cultural events

The Český Krumlov Municipal Theatre also co-organises important cultural events in Český Krumlov. As part of the Českokrumlovské Slavnosti festivities project, it organises events in cooperation with the City of Český Krumlov and the Český Krumlov development fund:

• Svatováclavské Slavnosti (St Wenceslas Celebrations) and the Český Krumlov International Folklore Festival
