The museum and tower with a viewing gallery are located in the grounds of Český Krumlov Château, and can be accessed with a CK Card. Inside the museum, you will find a number of rare exhibits from the château depositories, while a museum cinematograph shows films from the early 20th century.

What you will see

The Castle Museum exhibition was opened in 2011 by the National Heritage Institute and brings you to the times of the Lords of Krumlov, the Rosenbergs, and other noble houses residing in Český Krumlov and transforming its appearance over the centuries. You can see a number of precious artifacts from the castle depositories and view films from the beginning of the 20th century.

In addition to the exposition of the Castle Museum, you can climb 162 steps to the top of the Castle Tower, which has always been the symbol of the town of Český Krumlov, of its history and beauty. It is "the towerest of all towers" as once characterised by Karel Čapek and offers a beautiful view over Krumlov and surroundings.
