This museum of wax figures with a Medieval atmosphere is located in a renovated Renaissance building in the historical town centre.

What you will see

The museum of wax figures is dedicated to famous personalities and the region of South Bohemia. King Charles IV and Franz Josef I of Austria are among the most interesting figures.

The mysterious cellar presents a Medieval town, where you will have the opportunity to look into an alchemist’s workshop or an old tavern. Light and sound effects enhance the atmosphere, so you will feel like you really are walking through a 15th-century marketplace.

Take a look under the hands of fishermen from the heyday of fish farming in South Bohemia, and find out what carp were caught for at that time.
