Closure of Lazebnický Bridge – information and tips

The exposed bridge, which connects the Inner Town with the Latrán neighbourhood in the historic centre of Český Krumlov, is undergoing a necessary reconstruction. The works will last until the beginning May 5 and will require the complete closure of the bridge to both, vehicular and pedestrian traffic.

Pedestrians

The shortest route between the Inner Town and the left bank of the Vltava River (Latrán and Špičák neighbourhoods) is via the Footbridge at the Cloak Bridge (Plášťový most) and then via the Deer Garden Park (Jelení zahrada) and the first castle courtyard.

From the direction of Horní Brána, the bus station, you can use the route via Objížďková Street, the footbridge at the Brewery and then either along Pivovarská Street or along Náplavka and Na Fortná.

Cars

The traffic situation in the centre will be partially changed during the construction works.

Latrán Street will become a dead-end street, where two-way traffic will be allowed up to the Lazebnický Bridge. Trucks will have to reverse back here (probably to the Baťa shoe shop on the corner of Latrán and Nové Město Streets).

In Dlouhá Street, the direction of travel will be temporarily changed to one-way traffic in the direction of Radniční Street. Map

The time of entry to the centre for delivery to restaurants, hotels and other businesses is extended until 12:00.

Online maps

The closure of the Lazebnický Bridge will be reflected in online maps and navigations such as Mapy.cz, Google Maps, etc. from 2 January.
