Regional Museum in Český Krumlov
A rich array of valuable exhibits on the history of Český Krumlov and its surroundings await you in the Regional Museum, located in the newly-reconstructed Baroque building of the former Jesuit High School.
What you will see
The Regional Museum is housed in the Baroque building of the former Jesuit grammar school, where the first museum exhibition was opened to the public in 1952.
Today, the museum's most remarkable treasures include a highly detailed ceramic model of the historic centre of Český Krumlov, depicting the town in its idealized form around 1800, and the preserved interior of a Baroque Jesuit pharmacy dating from the mid-17th century.
The museum's branch, the Birth House of Adalbert Stifter in Horní Planá, opens the door to the historical and literary world of the Šumava region.
