Egon Schiele Art Centre
The vast Renaissance building of the former municipal brewery in Široká Street is home to a gallery of international significance and has been attracting visitors for three decades with annual exhibitions of works by prominent figures in the visual arts as well as a permanent exhibition on the life and work of the Austrian expressionist Egon Schiele. The 2024 season presents a cross-section across the creative periods of one of the most important Czech artists, Jiří Kolář (1914-2002), large-scale paintings by the artist and composer Vladimír Franz, and black-and-white photographs, portraits and views of Vladimír Franz's studio by Ida Saudková.
