Festival Krumlov (International Music Festival Český Krumlov) has been held since 1992. It has become a permanent fixture on the European cultural calendar thanks to its linking of the attractive environment of the historic town with classical music. The festival profiles itself as a multi-genre music showcase, offering a wide range of music from the 15th to the 21st century, from classical music and opera to musical, jazz, world music and other genres.
The 33rd edition of the festival will offer nineteen main programme concerts at thirteen venues from 12 July to 3 August 2024, three of them for the first time. The theme of Muses inspiring and creating will run through all the concerts. The festival will bring audiences closer to the creative outbursts that led to the creation of great works of classical music. Today's "Muses", important contemporary artists, will also visit Český Krumlov.
The accompanying programme in the Festival Zone will offer free multi-genre concerts, musical picnics and workshops, art activities and entertainment for the whole family.
