A space full of creative workshops where you can dream with your eyes open, explore, play and create. All this is provided by the Historic Play World, where especially children will find the best entertainment.
You can try on Gothic or Renaissance costumes, discover the magic of book printing, become a scribe in the Scriptorium, learn about the healing effects of herbs or enter the Alchemy Laboratory underground. A puppet theatre, Leonardo's inventions and wooden toys will keep the little ones entertained, while the more adventurous can embark on the mysterious Dance Macabre trail hidden in a unique mediaeval truss.
The interactive exhibition is a playful creative world in the middle of a mysterious monastery where children come first.
The Monasteries also feature the Český Krumlov Gallery with seasonal exhibitions and the exhibition Collection of Illustrations for Children. The Monastery Museum, revealing to visitors the story of this exceptional site and presenting its rich history, unique architecture and extensive collection of sacred art. Craft workshops where you can get under the hands of a glassmaker, dyer, potter or blacksmith, learn traditional crafts and make your own product. You can relax in the large monastery garden and have a bite to eat in the monastery café.
