Český Krumlov on chilly days? Surprisingly perfect with kids. Warm indoors, peaceful outdoors — and a programme that entertains both little ones and grown-ups: adventurous walks, fun museums and trips into the surrounding countryside. One day definitely won’t be enough.

Experience history and art in a different way

What is it like to put on a chain mail shirt, play with toys that aristocratic children used to pass the time, or mix your own perfume? In the historical playroom in Kláštery, the past becomes an experience that the whole family can enjoy.

Other places where history meets discovery include Krumlov Castle – climbing the castle tower rewards you with one of the most beautiful views of the town, the castle museum brings everyday life at court to life, and even the most impatient visitors always stop for a moment at the bear pit.

Port 1560 attracts visitors with programs and exhibitions that give space to imagination and contemporary art, while the Palace of Illustration will delight all lovers of children's books and stories. And note: in both cases, children under 15 have free admission.

From movie legends to mirror mazes

From Groot to Harry Potter – children can meet their favorite movie and fairy tale characters in Krumlov. They will be entertained and educated in a museum dedicated to moldavites, and they can enjoy a puppet show in the Fairy Tale House. Finally, they can get lost in a mirror maze.

Fun walks

Discover the architecture, hidden corners, and surrounding area of Krumlov in a fun way. You can also entertain your children at several larger and smaller playgrounds in the town and parks.
